What does a typical week look like as a medicine student in Utrecht?
Honestly, it's more intense than I expected. Monday and Wednesday are full clinic observation days in year 3, so you're at the hospital from 8am to often 5pm. Tuesday and Thursday are lectures and tutorials — 3-4 contact hours plus a lot of self-study in between. Friday is usually free for catching up. The curriculum is very PBL (problem-based learning), so you're expected to come prepared every session — not like a traditional lecture setup where you can switch off. Salary-wise: a GP in the Netherlands earns €100k-€150k after specialisation, which takes another 3-6 years after your 6-year degree.

How competitive is it to get into law at Leiden and what's the language situation?
Leiden has a numerus fixus of 425 students per year. Selection is through decentrale selectie, and while the programme is taught in Dutch, most reading materials and some electives are in English. Fluency in Dutch is expected by year 2.

Is a mechanical engineering degree at Imperial actually worth the debt?
